MPulse Digital Marketing Manager Wins 2016 Marketo Revvie Award

MPulse Software, Inc is pleased to announce the company’s digital marketing manager, Barry Brown, is the winner in the “Marketo Masters” category for “Marketer of the Year” in the 2016 Marketo Revvie Awards.

The accolades honor marketing individuals and teams who are leading the marketing transformation by using Marketo to positively impact company revenue, build engaging, long-lasting relationships with customers, and inspire others in the marketing industry.

Without any prior knowledge of marketing automation, Barry Brown took it upon himself to master and implement Marketo at MPulse, said Steve Brous, MPulse President and CEO. Over four years, the company’s sales team tripled in size, customer retention rates exceeded 90 percent, and annualized top line revenue grew by 40 percent.

“I’m grateful for the support of my coworkers, Steve Brous, Jason Johnson [MPulse VP of Sales & Marketing], and our MPulse customers during this journey,” Barry Brown said. “I’d especially like to thank my wife, Lisa Brown, for believing I could take on this challenge and succeed.”

Brous said Barry’s recognition also reflects positively on the efforts of the Silicon Shire and the Technology Association of Oregon for their work to promote Eugene-Springfield as a hi-tech hot spot.

“Here at MPulse, we’ve always prided ourselves on cultivating an atmosphere that values our employees and their work. Investing in Barry Brown was one of the smartest moves we made,” Brous said. “From our Marketo nurture campaigns to our Marketo webinar management process, Barry’s fingerprints are all over our new marketing strategy. And the benefits can be seen every time we look at our balance sheet.”

Brown, who will celebrate his 70th birthday later this year, will retire knowing that he played a critical role in propelling MPulse’s digital transformation.
